What is a Low Level Laser Therapy
Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that uses low-power lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate healing in various tissues of the body. It is also known as cold laser therapy or photobiomodulation (PBM). Unlike high-powered lasers used in surgeries to cut or destroy tissue, LLLT uses lower wavelengths of light that don’t generate heat, hence the term “cold.”
